Haldimann Horology H8 Sculptura....Watch?

As most of you know (and some don't), a tourbillon is an expensive source of visual interest. They are fun to watch, and that is just about it when it comes to practicality. Of course, they are hard to make as well. Haldimann Horology touts this as an "art piece," or rather a moving sculpture where the tourbillon is the art. Yea, that is sort of cool, but for the money this watch likely costs, you can probably get a watch with a tourbillon that you can see in operation, as well as other things, such as the time maybe? The H8 Sculptura comes in a 39 or 42mm wide case in platinum, with a sapphire crystal (front and back), and features a relatively nice case design.
While the manually wound H.Zen-H calibre movement is capable of telling the time, Haldimann Horology has "banished" these items from the dial. The idea is to see the watch and focus on the "transience of time." Execution of the idea is well-done, as is the design of the watch. Plus, I think that in theory the concept is pretty, but to actually go out and buy one? Well, (in the event I could afford one) I would be generous and give that 'opportunity' to someone else.

It's not a watch!!! It's a freaking HAMMER! And it does the job just as well as it tells time. Hi! I'm a freaking IDIOT I have a thing on my wrist that serves no purpose whatsoever. I wear it so the idiots at aol will write about it and other idiots will look at it and say "Wow, you're a freaking idiot"! Try this you morons. Take the money for your freaking watch-hammer-garbage disposer, and give it to the 26 year old single mother who got laid off 17 months ago and can't pay her rent.. Then, take another swig of your Grey Goose vodka and go back to sleep. And you idiotic editors at AOL, get a REAL hammer and just start hitting yourselves, as hard as you can in the forehead until you are unconscious. Oh......that's right......it wouldn't make any difference. Jeeeeez.
