It basically transforms tap water into bottled water quality, and by now it's common knowledge that purified water alone, without minerals, electrolytes or flow structure, is sterile and dead. They are GREAT! They do not completely demineralize water as the previous reader suggested. In fact the good minerals pass through the patented filter! This filter simply removes the "poisons" that pass through or are put into our water supply, such as chlorine and chlorine by-products.

It doesn't make the water taste like distilled water at all. It just produces a great tasting result. I can't explain it you'll just have to buy one! Let's all get one and keep those plastic bottles out of our growing landfills.

Peace

Mike

Comments on Will The Water Bobble Turn Us Into Tap Water Drinkers?

Not sure about this particular filter, but most common carbon filters (the ones used by brita, pur, etc) also don't filter out flouride. Flouride is an important mineral for your teeth, especially in children. However, many parents are worried about their local tap water so give their children bottled water, reducing their valuable flouride intake. The bobble like a great alternative to me. I hold no water-related patents, so I think I'm a fairly unbiased source :)

stacefromspace22

Comments on Will The Water Bobble Turn Us Into Tap Water Drinkers?

Have you ever read about flouride? These conspiracies are about on par with "birthers" and UFO nuts you see late at night on discovery channel. Fluoridation reduces cavities by about 25%, which is clearly very significant and well worth the estimated dollar per person per year that it costs. While it does cause minor marks on the teeth, such effects are not even of aesthetic concern. Your precious bodily fluids are safe for now.

Dave

Comments on Will The Water Bobble Turn Us Into Tap Water Drinkers?

The fear of Fluoride seems to come from people distrusting the government adding stuff to the water, with claims initially being made of mind control. One reason the Bobble is so cheap is that the water is still unprocessed. American Consumers would rather spend 10 bucks on 300 refills that are “bottled water quality”. As opposed to spending over $300 on three hundred separate bottles of water, while filling up more than 10 trash bags in the process. Design gimmick? I think not! Kudos to the designer. Indeed, the Bobble design works for Bobble. It works to make dead water filtered dead water.

So Craig, since you're into design, how about peering into a microscope and looking at the real design.

The molecular structure of frozen non-structured tap/bottled/Bobble water looks like an atomic bomb hit it. Structured water has a measure of crystalline design when frozen, sometimes attaining perfect crystal shapes. So, Craig, which water would you like in your body?

And that's okay if you don't believe it. But if you're into science, which I would hope you are to have credibility, here's a good documentary to watch from the makers of "What the Bleep" that verifies all of the above: "Water, the Great Mystery" (search youtube)

I find it utterly fascinating that humans only have one body in this lifetime and would take the risks they do, but manage to change the oil every 3000 miles on every one of the 12 or so average number of vehicles owned in a lifetime.

haimikey

Comments on Will The Water Bobble Turn Us Into Tap Water Drinkers?

Oh HeyMikey!

I find your last statement just a little comical. "I find it utterly fascinating that humans only have one body in this lifetime..." So, you're indicating to us, the reader, that you're not human. Wow! This is very interesting. I've never talked to an alien before.

But, anyhow, back to your hypothesis. The molecular structure of any frozen water form looks like an atomic bomb hit it. The particles are much closer in frozen form. Therefore, the particles are bouncing back and forth much faster! As the frozen water melts, pressure is released and the particles bounce much farther and slower. Your frozen mineral water also looks like an atomic bomb hit it, because the particles are claustrophobic and are freaking out. All in all, if consumers want mineral water they'll take the ease of buying pre-bottled vitamin water or gatorade. But, if we want crisp, clean, great tasting tap water; consumers will likely change their bottled water buying habits and take the route I did. In that, they will buy bobble. It really does make water, and the environment better!

"Kudos" to the makers of bobble! I thank you for introducing a great, cost friendly, product that will change our wasteful habits and save us money.

Craig

Comments on Will The Water Bobble Turn Us Into Tap Water Drinkers?

I agree with Craig. After all, there really are too many landfills filled with waste water bottles.

On the other hand, for those who don't intend to be martyrs To The Cause, there are alternatives.
