Cadillac to Target BMW 3 Series with ATS Sedan, Wagon, Coupe and Convertible

With the CTS taking the market by storm and the new XTS set to replace the aging Seville and Deville models, Cadillac is on the upswing. But one area it's typically been weak in is the hottest for rivals like BMW. That's why Cadillac is preparing the new ATS to take on the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class. And like those German competitors, the latest reports indicate that the Caddy will breed a range of variants.

The ATS sedan is expected to make its debut sometime later this year. But that'll soon be followed by a wagon, a coupe and finally a convertible, although the decision has yet to be made on whether the cabriolet will pack a folding hard-top or more conventional fabric roof.
