I do understand the sentiment expressed by Mr. Leslie; however, since the yacht is supposed to cost $500 million, that means that $500 million has to be SPENT. Spent on what? Employing shipbuilders, steel makers, engine manufacturers, cabinet makers, wiring makers, fiberglas suppliers, helicopter manufacturers,etc, etc., all of whom will employ workers to make these products for the boat.

Then 70 crew will have jobs, and since the yacht will presumably be calling on ports around the world, will supply additional jobs for food and fuel suppliers, dockworkers, and others to support this vessel.

So, Mr. Leslie, it doesn't matter how these gazillionaires spend their money, so long as the do, in fact, spend it!
