Lopez Island, Estate of the Day

Today's estate is quite the compound. It sits on 17 south facing acres on Lopez Island, one of the San Juan Islands in Washington state. This property has a large main home on a peninsula, three guest houses, a barn with office and a greenhouse with surrounding gardens and orchards, a lighted tennis courts, pond with pier, small sandy beach, and best of all, a cute shingled treehouse. The main house has a casual feel and great water views. The kitchen seems a bit crazy with its red and yellow floor and retro yellow stove but the rustic nature of this home is part of its charm. This one is listed at $4.75 million.

Amazing value for the money and charming to boot. I kind of like the wacky red/yellow kitchen. It works just fine with the casual atmosphere of a beach house.

Not sure about the kitchen. The tree house looks nice.
The house looks interesting, think I would like to go here for a visit.
