Marni Studded Leather Bag, Handbag of the Day

Studs continue to pop up everywhere, and although the concept remains the same designers are getting creative with the details. The Marni Studded Leather Bag has large, flat studs (like finely shined thumbtacks) lined up in rows over gray leather. Instead of the expected "biker chic" vibe that would normally come from a combination of studs and leather this bag seems much more girly with an almost contemporary feel. A delicate black ribbon goes around the middle of this messenger style bag and acts as a fastener to keep it closed while the fold-over flap also has a zip closure. The interior is lined in brown twill. $865
