Brabus GLK - World's Fastest Street Legal SUV for $570,000

The Brabus GLK V12 (above), a modified Mercedes-Benz billed as the world's fastest street-legal SUV, just made its world debut at the Dubai Motor Show. The $570,000 beast is powered by a 750 hp 12-cylinder twin turbo engine, the vehicle set a new speed record of 200.3 mph at Italy's Nardo test track in October and can do 0 – 62 mph in 4.2 seconds. Other upgrades include air intakes and a carbon fiber spoiler lip on the front apron, a four-pipe sports exhaust system, fender flares, a rear roof spoiler. The interior is done in full leather interior with Alcantara elements, an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel and wood or carbon fiber trim for the dashboard, doors and center console. Custom consoles for the backs of the vehicles front seats contain multimedia devices in case the passengers get bored between neck-snapping accelerations.

It has kind of a Mad Max look to it. Don't care much for the low profile tires, although I know it adds to the handling characteristics. And I like the open architecture wheels even less. But there is something appealing about the sinister look of the vehicle. But $570,000? Wow.

Maybe if A1B2C3XG/jeff1098 bought himself a Brabus he could pull some chicks and wouldn't have to post his lonely-hearts ad here.

$570K??? For that kinda money I would get a 599 GTB and have money left over. Way too much for this SUV.

How little does your penis have to be to buy one of these?
tkpyro Jan 2nd 2010 4:34PM
Looks like a Chevy SS Trailblazer, you would have to be an idiot or have more money than brain cell's to pay that kind of Money for any SUV. I think the Jeep SRT-8 is nicer looking and you could buy 15 of them for the price of just one of these. European vehicles are overrated IMHO.
Dommale55 Jan 2nd 2010 5:16PM
Looks good to me, I might go buy one. If you can't afford it don't comment.

Now THERES a form a censorship you would expect from some of the wealthy. But may I please shine the tires for you?

For $100,000 I can build you an SUV that will drive off & make this thing look like it's not even moving. Alfred-

I think that anyone who pays more for a car than a home is really an Idiot. There is no way a vehicle should cost this much money, the people that make it just want to get rich. Why does anyone need a car that goes 200.3 miles an hour, you can't drive that fast anywhere in the United States? So why waste your money?
MM Jan 2nd 2010 6:26PM
You can go that fast quote a number of places on the US. Most road racing tracks have open track days available for high-speed testing. Just because you can't do it legally on public roads doesn't mean there's no place you can.

With all the people out there looking for jobs, or otherwise hurting, get real. What normal person can afford a vehicle like that, unless they are involved in Wall street. It is hard enough to afford a good ol' Ford or Chevy.
ernie67rt Jan 3rd 2010 2:44AM
A Jeep SRT 8 with a cold air intake biger throttle body with a paxton supercharger or an even cheaper nox system will kick this cars ass guaranteed

That is one more UGLY piece of machinery. I wouldn't want to tell people that I drove a "Brabus" in the first place. Give me a 540 horsepower Mustang and I'll be happy......and have about half a mil left over.
razzi Jan 2nd 2010 7:46PM
Hey, that's what this is for, to comment! Doesn't matter "if" you can afford the SUV or not. Everyone has a right to comment one way or another as to how they feel about it. And as long as it's about the story, not other junk I see on here and other ones. buccanay, has the right idea in what he said, Yes!
leolux10 Jan 2nd 2010 8:45PM
$570,000, for a frickin' "Brabus" SUV???? It looks just like any OTHER Mercedes SUV on the steet now! A rather SMALL one at that! I'd just LOVE to see the first hack who buys one of these dull-designed atrocities! The best part of this vehicle is the wheels, for Pete's sake. For that kind of money, and speed, i'd opt for a Bugatti Veyron, and have a SH*T-load of cash left over!!!!! Please!
FastCarsFTW Jan 6th 2010 12:28PM
The Bugatti Veyron is over a million dollar car. If you can find one for the price of this Brabus, id like to see it.
