Las Vegas hs always been there for those with money. We all remember fondly "the old days" when they had the 99cent quarter pound hotdogs , 50 cent shrimp cocktails, $1.00 breakfasts downtown, etc. But those days are gone, they can not make a living from us budget gamblers who go for 5 cent slots, and all the freebies we can hustle, or see on the Las Vegas strip, or downtown..

They have unionized staff that must be paid, and higher expenses - you do not hire people in Vegas for the mininum wage. So if they shut down the rooms who is to blame them. We would all like it cheaper, but they can only go so low before going broke.. Reality stinks I agree, but the old days are past days, not the current times. Oh for a $3.95 buffet at the Lady Luck.

What a fool you are, rooms in Las Vegas are already cheap depending on what season you go. Right now you can stay at the Mirage for $60 compared to summer when it will cost $199. Prices go high when demand is high and vice versa. If you cannot afford to stay in a casino there are hundreds of hotels near the strip that are very affordable year round. The day major casinos like Bellagio or Venetian start selling rooms for $40 a night is the day Zimbabwe takes over USA.
