New 9ff GT9-R could be the World's Fastest Car

If you're looking for the world's fastest car, this very well could be it. It's called the GT9-R, and it's the latest product from Porsche tuners extraordinaire 9ff. Although based loosely on a Porsche 911, little of the end product is shared with the existing sportscar. Instead the GT9-R packs as much as 1120 horsepower in a lightweight custom body for a top speed in excess of 414 km/h (257 mph), making it arguably the fastest car in the world – faster even than the Bugatti Veyron.

Although intended for use on a race track, the GT9-R (like the marginally less extreme GT9 before it) is fully street legal (in Europe, at least), and is available in 750 and 987 horsepower guises as well. Only twenty will be made at an undisclosed price, but considering the "base" GT9 cost half a million euros, make sure you've got enough left over for gas and tires.

With this car? Are you kidding me? It's ugly for one, has no air and instead of leather seats and all of the luxury goodies of the Bugatti, you have a fire extinguisher in the passenger seat. Wow.

If your not going to compare apples to apples then yes, there are faster cars in the world than the Bugatti such as those that set and break world records for being the fastest on the salt flats or top fuel, funny cars etc...You idiots get the point?

Employ hispanics by buying American! I drive over-the-road and deliver parts to the "American" manufacturers and at every plant that I pull into, there are a majority of hispanics working there, including supervisors, who can't speak any English at all. Just trying to get someone to sign my paperwork without hearing "Que`? ,Que`?" is impossible. If a bunch of us moved (or invaded) to another country, they wouldn't change their national language for us, so why do we have to change ours for them? Our government is a sell-out! They need to grow some balls and get this country back to what it should be and quit rolling over and playing dead because they're afraid of offending this group or that and trying to stay PC all the time! As long as the fat-cats run the country, they'll keep doing whatever they can to keep stuffing their pockets while screwing the rest of us. The Declaration of Independence states that this is a country run by the people for the people, not by the few to protect their interests only. Get the scum and illegals out of the country, employ Americans at a rate they can afford to support their families on, stop fighting other countries' wars for them, get our people back home and move forward into a better future for all. We have homeless everywhere and they aren't like what you've been shown in the movies. They are not all like the crazy bag lady talking to her invisible cats, they are real families, put out into the streets because of American companies' greed in finding bigger profits by shipping jobs over seas. This country is dying and unless you do something to help prevent it, then you are responsible for its downfall. Good luck in your fantasy worlds to all those who believe otherwise.

Other nationalities won't get hired to take your unskilled, over paid jobs that's been given to you white generations for years! Jeremy, get your head out, Toyota employs more Americans than Chrysler does. Almost as many as Ford does. All of these 'buy American' people universally have no idea how lousy most American products are because you refuse to look elsewhere. Most of the really well made cars by American car companies were actually intended to be sold in other markets, other FOREIGN markets...
After all of that, the Ultimate Aero is faster. And better looking. And American made. Hey, lookie there. And anybody how thinks a street car can go 300 mph has no earthly clue what they are talking about. If you drove any Colani product over 150 mph it would blow over before you could pronounce 'Colani'.

I guess if I had about $60,000,000 sitting in a bank I'd buy one...Otherwise I'll settle for my C5 Corvette. It will do about 180 mph...and with the highest speed limit in the state being 80 I think...I guess that's fast enough ...You never know I might have to pass a truck...Ha Ha...257 mph is ridiculous...but I guess it sounds good ...back to speed....fastest I've ever been on a road is about 150...The speedo was pegged but the car listed at 145 top speed...and I know I was doing about that...fast enough for any road in Texas I can tell you....That was back in 1968....I really doubt many roads around where I'd attempt that again...maybe SW Texas close to the border where you can see for miles...one thing about that kind of speed folks...there's not much time to make a decision if something happens....forget about blowouts or rocks in the road
