World's Most Expensive Supercar, Diamond Carbon Koenigsegg Trevita for Sale at $5 Million

A limited edition Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita diamond-weave carbon fiber supercar (above), the first of only three being built for collectors worldwide, is for sale in South Africa with a whopping pricetag of $5 million, making it the world's most expensive supercar - easily beating out the Bugatti Pur Sang. The Swedish supercar is a special version of the marque's already exotic carbon fiber CCXR model, which goes for about $2 million. Both cars feature a 5.0 liter twin supercharged V8 engine producing 1,018 hp, and can do 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of over 250 mph. The Trevita's unique diamond weave finish means that when exposed to sunlight it "sparkles like millions of silvery white diamonds infused inside the visible carbon fiber weave bodywork."

Trevita, or tre vita, means Three White in Swedish. And there are three cars being made.
Watched a documentary about von Koenigsegg, and it was an interesting one. He really loves his work, and you can see it in him.

i wouldnt buy it if i had 1,000,000 ,OOO most likely you have to ship it to dealer for LOF or warranty is gone + service cost is 10,000$, its only an ego car,but WE are paying for it in our oil &gas prices we are so generous.

Some people are offended at the decadence a car like this represents. I sort of think of it this way ... not much different that a rich person commissioning an artist to create a painting or other work of art. As time goes on, the work of art becomes a collector's item and grows in value. It changes hands and becomes more valuable each time it does. A rich person having 5 million invested in one of these cars is no different than having 5 million in gold, diamonds, or art work. You can bet the car will never see a street or highway. You don't buy one of these cars to cruise around. You keep it in a climate controlled environment under lock and key with serious security and only transport it to show at an exhibit and eventually sell or auction it at a profit. So all of you freaks who think the government should take care of you just need to shut up and go back to writing your manifesto LOTFLMFAO!!!

The "koeniseg" is a cool car indeed but not nearly as amazing as the Zonda C12, F ou Cinque, Zondas give you a mind blowing experience, this car is more like just another expensive exotic sports car.
This version specifically saying is maybe one of the best but still nothing impressive except the diamond thing which doesn't make a good car.
