Alan Jackson's New Lifestyle Line
These days it seems like musicians can't rely on CD sales and tour revenues alone to make money. Country singer Alan Jackson, who currently has his Tennessee home listed at $38 million, has a new lifestyle line. The singer has partnered with the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store on a 40+ piece assortment of lifestyle items available only at Cracker Barrel beginning November 2.The Alan Jackson Collection includes menswear and womenswear, food items, collectibles, an Alan Jackson Signature Rocker and other exclusive items including a CD. This is the first time Cracker Barrel has developed a complete line of merchandise around a star. Jackson was involved in the creation of the collection and advised Cracker Barrel on what he thought might appeal to his fans. The most expensive piece will be the Alan Jackson Signature Rocker, a solid hardwood rocker made of Dutch Spruce logs harvested in Maine and hand-assembled in Tennessee. Alan's signature is engraved in the headrest and each rocker is numbered as part of a limited edition of 1,700.

I went to Cracker Barrel once. I wanted to go there for my birthday. It sucked. They had only two of the items that they offered on their country platter, they were out of EVERYTHING and it just was not a good experience. If they had enough of the food they advertised, they wouldn't NEED Alan Jackson to promote them.

Nice to know he doesn't mind allying himself with a homophobic, hateful orgranization for Cracker Barrel. Shame.

I own one Alan Jackson CD. The reason I have that is because my bird heard him sing "Gone Crazy" on the radio a couple of times. For some reason he would run up to the top of his cage and dance and try to sing with the chorus. So I bought the CD. This is no lie.
I would be willing to go to Cracker Barrel and buy some of his items if he was giving the proceeds to charity. I seriously doubt that. Guess he needs the money to keep living a lavish lifestyle. Instead I will keep putting money in a special savings account I have to help those that really need it.
Who needs a 38 Million Dollar Mansion? I am happy with my 1700 square foot house. Each to his own I suppose.

Poor Alan certainly needs the money! A $38 million house for sale plus other valuable assets.
He could probably make a big dent in paying off the national debt?

My husband and I love going to Cracker Barrel. It has wonderful food and we try to make it a once a week outing for us. Its one of the only places we get to hear Christian music when we go out for breakfast or dinner. It is a little high on its meals but the cost has went up on everything. I sure wont be able to buy a chair from there. Lets keep it real on prices. Times are hard for everyone.

there is an awful lot of jealousy in these comments. Why can't you all just be happy that someone is doing so well? Are we to assume that if you lived in a huge house, had a great family, a wonderful job that paid huge amounts of money, that's all you want? You can't honestly tell me that you would not try for more, especially if you have a family to support. Ok, you don't like Cracker Barrel, DON'T GO THERE. You don't like Alan Jackson, don't buy his merchandise. Who are you to judge someone else?
