Leeza Gibbons In The Hollywood Hills, Estate of the Day

Talk-show host Leeza Gibbons has had her home on and off the market for the last couple of years. As the LA Times Hot Property column reveals, Gibbons has put her longtime Hollywood Hills compound back on the market at $6.85 million down from a high of $8.75 million several years ago. The 11,137-square-foot Mediterranean is behind gates and up a long, curving private driveway and the landscaped grounds include a pond, pool and separate hot tub. The home was built in 1926 and was owned in the 1940s by actress Joan Crawford.
The main house has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms over three stories and includes themed bedrooms for the children. Other amenities include a library, office, sauna, gym and a wine cellar. Gibbons remodeled the home and added a large separate guest house which has an art studio. It seems like you could run a whole empire out of this home and hardly ever need to leave.

It's magnificent. But, it's too much. If she sold off just one room she could feed a family of four for a couple of years. Who really needs all that? But, I enjoyed looking at it . . . I just hope if I had that much money, I would be generous with it.

I do agree it is a little cluttered but, it is a beautiful home. I could only dream of a home this beautiful! She is blessed to have such a cozy and unique home. I pray one day I can be as fortunate. She definitely has awesome taste!

Nice but not my taste. However, according to all those design shows on tv, she has clutter. Maybe she should hire a stager so that her house will sell this time. Timing right now is bad for selling homes though.

Its a beautiful home but the interior design leaves a lot to be desired.. She really should get an interior designer to help with those horrible colors.. or should I say clown colors.. nothing flowed at all in the house and the blue bathroom with the white stars really turned my stomach .. Im really surprised at Leeza as I always thought of her as a classy person with good taste but when it comes to this house Im sorry but its wrong wrong wrong.. nothing against Leeza she is still tops but she needs to work on the interior just a bit to try and get rid of that house..

The house is very nice, I would live there happily, but the dining room ceiling looks like a soccer ball was cut open, & laid out flat. UGLY!

I love the house and grounds. Something about the inside was most unsettling as I looked at the pictures. I'm not sure why. I sensed a lack of tranquillity in those interior pics. But hey, it's her money and her right to have it just as she likes it.
Nobody should try to please other people's taste in how they decorate. Other people visit, but the owner lives there. If they are pleased all the mean comments are worthless. She hasn't asked for it just because she wants to sell her house.

This is what's wrong with America- Just think about the homeless shelters and box crate homes out there. She has all of this from just talking about the poor, not experiencing this. We are heading for a true day of God judgement on this! What would some of that STUFF have contributed to the lives of so many. I like Ms Gibbons, but my god, so much.....When do the rest of us count??? Ready for 2012? Get ready!

Do you remember any of your past lives? Do you remember the futile lords living on the hills in their estates and properties. Do you remember the plagues and poverty? Wake Up! This is not about wealth, it's about the HUMAN race, we are in a struggle for our very survival and well being. Let them eat cake?

Whether the home is beautiful or not has nothing to do with it. The fact that it's not tastefully decorated has nothing to do with it. What I see is a vulgar display of wealth. Those of you who are defending this lady misunderstand; don't know Leeza anymore than you do. Maybe you're friends with her and she doesn't know it.
What I see is a home that's big enough for 20 families; there is wasted space that probably never gets used or lived in. Maybe you feel some of the comments here are distasteful, but she did agree to put her estate on display and open for every and anyone's comments. It's distasteful for people to want more home than they need. A large enough home for a simple family is one thing, but this is "hoarding" to the extreme. Hopefully she's generous and actively charitible with her abundunt wealth. She seems like a nice enough individual - can't say anyone of us knows for sure; but it would be nice to know that she's one of the good guys who gives to good causes. I know many celebrities are open about their generousity, i.e., Brad Pitt, Robert Redford, etc., they're doing their part to spread the wealth and that makes me feel good and I respect them for it. Hopefully, Leeza is one of those people - don't know.
