Leeza Gibbons In The Hollywood Hills, Estate of the Day

Talk-show host Leeza Gibbons has had her home on and off the market for the last couple of years. As the LA Times Hot Property column reveals, Gibbons has put her longtime Hollywood Hills compound back on the market at $6.85 million down from a high of $8.75 million several years ago. The 11,137-square-foot Mediterranean is behind gates and up a long, curving private driveway and the landscaped grounds include a pond, pool and separate hot tub. The home was built in 1926 and was owned in the 1940s by actress Joan Crawford.
The main house has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms over three stories and includes themed bedrooms for the children. Other amenities include a library, office, sauna, gym and a wine cellar. Gibbons remodeled the home and added a large separate guest house which has an art studio. It seems like you could run a whole empire out of this home and hardly ever need to leave.

I think she is a hoarder. She has so much crap, it will take her months to move out!

This should serve as a shrine to an overabundance of money with a complete oversight in taste. Maybe she had an eclectic, dyslectic designer!!

A beautiful, beautiful home for her and her family - It is a home you could defintely live in and feel comfortable
nodonnll1 Oct 12th 2009 2:15PM
Wow. Can you say, "clutter", boys and girls?!
Linamarta Oct 13th 2009 1:10AM
Some people like a lot of "stuff" around them just like minimalists like a lot of space around them. One is not "better than the other" they are just different. What is important in either case is if the proportions are well done.
I personally find a smaller scale more appealing; however, the proportions of this oversized style seem to be okay. The landscaping is great, moving from large bright spaces to smaller intimate cozy bits of the out of doors in a more natural state.
I liked the use of medium color on a number of walls quite appealing.

WOW....Just looking at the fotos wore me out and not in a good way. Too much going on!!!!!! Thought this texas girl would have some taste. Leeza, sometimes less is more.
William Oct 12th 2009 3:09PM
Leeza is from South Carolina.
mcinnisja Oct 13th 2009 3:47AM
Why would you think a Texas girl would have taste?
ut59er Oct 12th 2009 3:52PM
Too much clutter. Mind confusing.

This is an abomination of a gorgeous home, She needs a professional designer. And if she had one shame on him/her.
No wonder it won't sell.
Just a question, how many sofas, chairs, and alternative means of seating with ill fitting bedding does one persons home need?
Laura Oct 12th 2009 2:50PM
Wow, I always wanted to know how the other half live. It must be nice. It's beautiful home but needs less clutter, and the property is just wonderful. Give it to me and I can make it look even better!
Rose Oct 12th 2009 2:49PM
Just doesn't seem like the kind of place you'd call home. There is something sterile looking about it.
Mary Jo Oct 12th 2009 2:52PM
How many bathrooms does one family need anyway?
selenekelly Oct 12th 2009 3:25PM
Lots, a 5 bedroom house needs at least 6 bathrooms!
Keya Jan 15th 2010 3:47PM
this is my option: bath is a privacy room like bedroom so I think would be good one bathroom for every member of the family, one for the people that clean the house and one for every guest room. i feel comfortable for that.
Mary Oct 12th 2009 9:27PM
How many would you have if you could afford it?
GOT Oct 13th 2009 2:23AM
No more than I could clean myself... I could easily clean six myself, but three should suffice.

Wow! Talk about too much clutter, not to mention the old lighting! High-bay's in the kitchen?? She's going to need another remodel before she'll get the selling price she's asking for as it is!
