It's sad that yet another wonderful place is closing because of the current recession which started long before any one actually admitted it last October. I hope they can hang on until things improve.

Relying on "donations"? As I understand it, those would come from "rich" people. As I understand the liberal democrat game plan for us, those people were getting too much of what really belonged to "the masses" and need to be more heavily taxed. It's time to let "the masses" support the big government California wants to have.

How can President Obama be blamed for this? Has everyone gone to sleep and forgotten the EIGHT BUSH YEARS that got us into this mess? Bush and all his greedy Mafia are the ones that are responsible. Museums in California ALL used to be FREE, but thanks to another REPUBLICAN GREEDY move - PROP 13, the California school system, museums and many other amenities available to the people have been slowing degraded. I went to PUBLIC school here in California and I could not have gotten a better education. Prop 13 put an end of that! Wake up people, President Obama inherited a big REPUBLICAN mess! And not to be partisan, many of the Democrats have been seduced into the Republican system of greed. Let's work WITH President Obama instead of trying to destroy him with all the ignorant statements and heinous, vicious racist attacks on him and his family.

Fact #1: 9/11 happened one month ago in Bush years. Dems claim it was his fault, not the fault of then president, Bill Clinton.

Fact #2: then president, George Bush took the worst stock market colapse in United States since the depression resulting from a state of unbelievable horror and economic chaos to the highest stock market in the history of the world. That benchmark is the standard for our current "poor economy."

Fact #3: the world EXPECTED terrorist attacks to continue indefinitely. There were NONE under then president, George Bush's watch. Here or, for the most part, abroad, after the war in Afghanistan and Iraq began.

Fact #4: the "bad president" mentality was manufactured by the media (and a helped along by the discontented Democratic party in order to win power), just like the "good president" mentality has been for our present president, Barak Obama.

Fact #5: no president has control over any economy in any country of the world. The economy is market driven, and you can't manufacture a market. You can twist market factors (stimulus packages) but you cannnot ultimately manufacture a market.

Wow imagine that,Another museum of arts closing down..mabe its because what they see as art is not what most see as art.Or could it be a waste of time to walk around and look at a bunch of things you can see anywhere you go.Look life is art.Everything we see is art in some form and is the the eyes of the beholder.I man doing dumpster diving ,A bag lady,a lost dog graffiti on the walls etc.And that is what they have at these dumb museums of art.We can see that anywhere.Mabe they should have open up a family shelter or teen center even a center for all kids or family and they would have gotten some donaters.What would you rather donate or see go up ?? something useless or something that will help others ??? Art museum ?? lmao and its a failure ...I bet they would have plenty of people comming if they were feeding of sheltering them.

Just how does Obama have anything to do with this? California has a Republican Governor! He refuses to tax the wealthiest of his friends. He reversed the auto tax upon gaining office and that was almost to the dollar the current deficit!

Another example of the BUsh legacy. Two ill conceived wars and this country ios bankrupt. We are now in Afghanistan 2 years longer than WWII lasted. We're fighting ghosts. Iraq has now exceeded the length of WWII. This is all Bush's doing. However, Obama can get us out. Do it fucking now. NOW.

Only narrow minded people can possibly blame this on President Obama. California has been on the verge of financial disater for at least two years. Tell me how the President had any thing to do with California in 2007 and 2008? Tell me why Obama is responsible for the museum closing, Maybe you need to direct your questions to the Governor (a republican) and work your way down from there. Losing a museum is very sad, sad for us, sad for our children. I do think that someone needs to ask how much money was spent to go to Europe to arrest a man who fled the country 32 years ago to avoid jail time, I do believe he should serve time but when California is so broke, maybe priorities are screwed up.

Uh, is it any wonder? It's in the Inland Empire! Not exactly the capital of fine art or culture. As much as you would like to think there has been a change in the demographics there, it hasn't. It's in freaking San Bernadino County, much of which is pretty much devoid of Art or those who are interested in it. No need to post an argument here as this news snippet is all the proof needed to support this opinion. I don't know how this turned into a political argument, as the CC's are not public institutions of learning.

obama is not to blame for the financial mess we are in, however,he has no tools to fix whats broke and creates new areas of concern,health care,clunkers,olympics,schools,afganistan. he is the token president to take the blame for the past but the new problems are his fault. he is not good for the country and neither was bush.

We were not thinking about supply and demand.If demand is up for supply then so is our prices.So here we are thinking we would get things for less and nothing thinking...well if other countries want the same thing the price is going to rise big time.And abra cadabra we have high inflation and low wages that stayed the same thanks to an over abundance of labor thanks to Reagan for seeing wer should start out with 10 million + illegals that was more like 20 +mil illegals.And then when nafta hit our market was primed for way more labor than we need to ship out all the products in high demand bring our prices way up and now we often make things we can't afford..Kinda like they do in mexico lol.People we are being played and we just had a B***slap of being played for the past 20 plus years.Peace
