Blue In Palm Beach, Estate of the Day
We don't see too many blue houses up for sale, this one has been drenched in a shade of sky that stretches to the chimneys and surrounding walls. The Maurice-Fatio-designed home in Palm Beach, Florida has an fanciful, Easter-egg-like delicacy to it. Fatio designed homes inspired by European nobility and mansions during the 1920 and 1930s. Today's home is located in a prime location near the shops of Worth Avenue and near the beach. It has three bedrooms and a separate guest/staff quarters. The small backyard includes a pool. It is listed at $6.5 million.

While not to my tastes as a residence I do like this bit of old Palm Beach with the original use of color and it's reserved yet stately size. (The personal items which depart with the owner are always a moot issue)
Some creative spaces, very tall ceilings, and good trim work and hardware make this an interesting home. While seemingly small - does anyone really need more square footage - it could be reworked without tearing it down into being less perceived as cramped.
If anything it is the way PB used to be vs. making everything the same old Spanish-influenced Addison Mizner knock-off of far too many homes. Hopefully new buyers will appreciate buying an original home and not attempt to raze it.

I'm sorry, but that is not an estate. It's a house, a rather ugly house at that, on a rather small property in a wealthy area of the United States.
