I love the generous use of stone for the manor house and tower. It is an exceptionally rare offering and having been untaxed all these years I'm sure the community with be happy to see it back on the tax rolls.

The price is very competitive for the area. A recent sale (by Delman too) of Wrentham House - listed for $14.4M mill but sold for $6.5M - reflects how only seriously priced homes will actually sell in the Newport-area. (below link to sale)

http://www.projo.com/economy/Wrentham_House_sold_09-19-09_PJFP81O_v12.37ce8cf.html

Worth pointing out (although it seems extremely obvious) is that Luxist doesn't put together the videos nor does it take the pictures of these properties. They are chosen for selection as EOTD based upon a variety of factors. The listing agencies and agents for these estates vary widely in their quality of presentation with these homes - from staging to photography to accompanying video accessable to the public.

Lila Delman RE , affiliate of Christie's Great Estates, has been more progressive in adding the youtube videos of these niche, premium properties.

Spectacular Bid
