Spice Girl Gets A Look At The No Luxury Life
Spice Girl Mel B danced her way into U.S. hearts on "Dancing With The Stars" but her latest reality TV move features a different kind of challenge. A new show on Britain's ITV1 has Melanie Brown moving into a housing estate in Leeds to get a look at low-income life during the recession in England. The show "7 Days On The Breadline" will also feature Keith Allen, Trinny Woodall and Austin Healey. The British celebrities will deal with budgeting issues and other challenges including plenty of interaction with the locals. Lincoln Green, one of the areas where filming will take place, has been identified as being in the top three percent of deprived areas in the UK, a place where unemployment is almost twice the national average and two thirds of elderly people are classed as living in poverty. The series aims to explore poverty through the medium of reality television. How does Mel B usually live? Check out the Los Angeles home that she sold earlier this year. It was listed at $2.99 million.
