What is the flavor of Boston? Boston has become the third city to be chosen by Absolut Vodka to get its own flavor. Like the old Absolut ad above, it celebrates Boston's history with a little tea. The limited edition flavor
will be black tea and elderflower vodka in a glass bottle that has a backdrop that is reminiscent of Fenway Park's infamous Green Monster. As part of the launch Absolut will display a "Wall of Pride" on Boylston Plaza at the Prudential Center for 10 days. The wall features quotations from famous Bostonians including sports stars and celebrities. Individual tiles will later be auctioned off to raise money for the Charles River Conservancy. Previous Absolut flavors include black pepper and mango in New Orleans and pomegranate, blueberry, acerola cherry and açai berry for Los Angeles.

I picked up a bottle on Saturday and have been shaking with it all week; it's very nice. The tea flavor is surprisingly strong, and lends itself to light, refreshing summer drinks (i.e low alcohol content). The Absolut Homerun on the neck tag (1 part Absolut Boston, 2 pt white grape juice, top with ginger ale) is a winner, although I find it's better with 1/2 pt Domaine de Canton, top with soda water instead of the ginger ale. My favorite place up the street (Gargoyles on the Square) has been making a nice drink mixed with tea this week.
I'm sure I'll tire of it in a few weeks, but for now we're enjoying it quite a bit!

I love the Absolut Boston-great flavor and goes well with gingerale and lime-as suggested.
