Lenny Kravitz In New York City, Estate of the Day

Lenny Kravitz isn't just a slow seller, he's positively glacial. Kravitz has had his apartment at 30 Crosby Street in New York City on and off the market since we started this blog nearly five years ago. Curbed breaks down the history of the pad which actually began in 2002 when he put the five-bedroom penthouse up for sale for $17 million. Back then Kravitz's home reflected a more urban sex palace vibe but now it's been renovated to appeal to a more general audience. The rock star vibe has been replaced by white, bright, posh and generic. One of Curbed's commenters aptly likened it to an Apple store.
The 6000 square foot loft also has 3000 square feet of outdoor space. The home includes a living room with a marble fireplace, a terrace with a wood-burning fireplace, media room, suspended glass staircase, master bedroom with a huge master bath and a second glass staircase which leads to a huge roof deck with a barbecue. Often a renovation jacks up the price of a listing but this one is listed at $14.95 million the same price it was listed at before it was pulled off the market six months ago.

Wow! $15M doesn't get you very many pics, does it?
I HOPE pic 6 isn't the "media room", lol ... An LCD TV does not a media room make.

This is truly a stunning home, but in an only OK location with not much of a view, especially from that giant terrace. In today's market, $15M will get you a very nice condo or coop on Central Park AND a decent place south of the highway in the Hamptons.

Absolutely gorgeous pad, but in other hand the price is to high for the location and the type. With 15M you could buy 2 townhouses in the most desirable block in the West Village- 53 & 55 Jane Street:10 Millions- and build your dream manhattan residence.Link: http://bit.ly/2yeSn

" but in an only OK location "
OK location? Uh, SoHo is the most expensive neighborhood in Manhattan. Much younger and better than stodgy Central Park.
