Baldessarini and Porsche Design Team Up For Retro Collection

Although summer 2009 isn't even over yet, fashion designers are already showing their fall/winter collections. But two luxury fashion houses are keeping a step ahead by introducing their line-up for summer 2010. And in the process, they've gone back to the 1970's for inspiration.

The collaboration between Baldessarini and Porsche Design started in 2006 with a solitary leather jacket. For 2010, the two companies have created another leather jacket, and complimented it with a polo shirt, t-shirt and yet another jacket. The collection is shaded in black, white and titanium grey, with a splash of red for color, and takes its cues from the Pascha pattern – a wavy checker-board graphic that simulated the victory flag from motor racing – that was available on Porsche sportscars in the 70s. Inspired by Porsche interiors from the 70s
Special Edition from Porsche Design and Baldessarini

Stuttgart/Munich. Porsche Design and Baldessarini present a joint Special Edition
for Spring/Summer 2010. After the two companies worked together in 2006 to de-
velop a limited edition exclusive leather jacket, their current cooperation venture
includes a T-shirt, a polo shirt, a sportswear jacket and a leather jacket.

The inspiration for these top quality products was provided by the interior of the
Porsche cars from the 70s. The so-called "Pascha" pattern was used on the fabric
seat inserts of these historic models: a wavy, displaced, black and white chequer-
board pattern that looks like a waved chequered flag. This special design is
approached anew in the Special Edition from Porsche Design and Baldessarini – as
a lining in the jackets and as a specific element of logo stitching and appliqué.

The in-house developed co-branding, which also reflects the heritage concept, is
found exclusively on these products. The logo is printed as a high quality flock print
on the T-shirt, the polo shirt has an elegant tone-on-tone stitching and a top quality
patch has been developed for the sportswear and leather jackets.

The range of colours concentrates on the classic Porsche Design colours: black,
white and titanium grey. Indian red provides a refreshing accent on the polo shirt.

The new Special Edition will be in the shops from November 2009 and is available
worldwide from selected retailers, in Porsche Design Stores and Baldessarini
Stores.

Porsche Design and Baldessarini combine the passion of their founders – pioneers
whose contributions of innovation, passion and details have characterised their
efforts to achieve perfection right from the start. "The first cooperation between the
two companies in 2006 proved to be very successful. We wanted to build on that

Porsche Design is a luxury brand with a particular focus on technically inspired
