The back of the home, with those tiny windows looks as mcmansiony as it comes. And that's in so-cal, where the sun from the west won't eat you alive!
The tiny windows probably also contribute to the darkness inside. The interior rooms also seem overly small, but that could just be lousy pictures.

That backyard looks like a knee scraper rather than someplace fun to hang out, but I'll attribute that one to personal taste.
