Butterfly Wine Opener Complicates The Flick Of The Wrist

In the battle of screwcap versus cork one of the key points for the cork side has always been the romance factor, the flourish of the corkscrew and the act of releasing the cork from the bottle. Michael Levine, the inventor and creator of The Butterfly wine opener believes he has come up with a way to bring the romance to the screwcap. The Butterfly brings a cork-like presentation to screwcap bottles with a corkscrew-like device that opens the screwcap. A video on the Bufferfly website shows how it works. It does take a simple process, unscrewing a bottle, and make it a little more complicated but at least it gives the sommelier something to do with his hands.
