Paris Hilton's Dog House Costs More Than Many Homes

Last season J.C. Penney built one of their major ad campaigns on exhorting men to do what they could to stay out of the dog house. But if you are one of Paris Hilton's many pets the dog house is the place to be. Hilton recently shared photos of her new designer doghouse on Twitter. Paris's pinkified pet playhouse has two floors. Downstairs there is a living room and upstairs there is a bedroom and a closet to stash the many outfits she has purchased for her small pets. Hilton's dogs, which bear names like Tinkerbell, Marilyn Monroe, Prince Baby Bear, Harajuku, Dolce and Prada, will feel right at home because the mini-mansion, outfitted by interior decorator Faye Resnick was designed to resemble Hilton's own home in all its pink majesty and includes miniature Philippe Starck furniture, heat, air conditioning and even a black crystal chandelier and black ceiling moldings. At a price of $325,000, as Perez Hilton points out, such extavagance might not sit well with the many people in the U.S. struggling to hold on to their homes. But then again, would we expect anything less of Paris Hilton?

Hey Paris, FYI - Dogs like to live in the same house as their owner and preferably sleep in the same bed. They don't care about status, they just want to be loved. If canine parents got a report card, you would fail!

I would hope that the pups would have winter house as well as a beach house. As with their mistress they should have all the love and blessings that they come to expect. Why not lavish funds on a few baubles? Paris, you go girl. All those other SOBs can weep in their bowls. Nice to live at a place where true values are practiced for a friend. Dog spelled backwards is God. So Dog bless you Paris for thinking about your fur people. w

Obviously Paris can do what she wants, but the dogs would probably be happier just sitting with her on the couch, and as far as the 325,000, I know I would be much happier helping out soup kitchens, and handing out cash to people trying to swing groceries in this tough economy.

I don't understand how someone can spend that much money on something so stupid while so many people have lost their homes and jobs and are struggling to survive, this is sad that she is so shallow, maybe she will be able to live in the doghouse if she ever loses her money and home.

Paris didn't earn all her money. Her daddy gave her a good portion. I doubt the TV shows she has appeared on paid enough to support her lifestyle. As for spending $325,000.00 on a dog house, I say why not if it pleases her? She didn't put the money in a pile and set fire to it. The archetech who designed it, the craftsmen who built it, and the other craftsmen who build the miniature furniture for it earn a living from their craft. So all the people who demonize Paris for "wasting" money like this should just apologize. The families of the craftsmen who built it have food on their table tonight, partially through projects just like this. That should count for something.

What's the problem? That is $325,000. that moved & was circulated through the economy. Someone made that much for doing the work.

At least we know where all her little dogs are. Remeber when the media was implying that she just tossed them (if they p*pp*d in her purse) & got a new one?

She just hs one for every outfit. It's so 'Paris'.

Paris wasn't trying to make anyone mad, she just wanted a specific kind of dog house for her dogs, and if the price of building the dog house equaled up to be $325,000, then o' well. She's rich, don't hate. If I had the money, and I wanted to build a rat den costing $1,000,000,000, then that would be my business, like her spending $325,000 for her dogs a house is her business, and she's not living her life to soot me, you, or anybody else but herself, and regardless of who she is, she deserves to be happy.
