Paris Hilton's Dog House Costs More Than Many Homes

Last season J.C. Penney built one of their major ad campaigns on exhorting men to do what they could to stay out of the dog house. But if you are one of Paris Hilton's many pets the dog house is the place to be. Hilton recently shared photos of her new designer doghouse on Twitter. Paris's pinkified pet playhouse has two floors. Downstairs there is a living room and upstairs there is a bedroom and a closet to stash the many outfits she has purchased for her small pets. Hilton's dogs, which bear names like Tinkerbell, Marilyn Monroe, Prince Baby Bear, Harajuku, Dolce and Prada, will feel right at home because the mini-mansion, outfitted by interior decorator Faye Resnick was designed to resemble Hilton's own home in all its pink majesty and includes miniature Philippe Starck furniture, heat, air conditioning and even a black crystal chandelier and black ceiling moldings. At a price of $325,000, as Perez Hilton points out, such extavagance might not sit well with the many people in the U.S. struggling to hold on to their homes. But then again, would we expect anything less of Paris Hilton?

That JC Penney dog house ad was halarious. As far as Paris Hiltons dog house, no comment.

I had to check back, I thought for a second we had stooped to a new low in our "Estate of the Day" category.

That's just plain lame.

A bimbo utterly devoid of taste? Stop the presses! That's never happened before!
Come on, Luxist. Aren't the gold-plated iPhones tacky enough?

I know how wealthy Paris is and can buy whatever she wants. I have my own pup that I love more than anything. Being on SS Disability due to Stage 4 Breast Cancer I am worried about what will become of my home. May loose it like alot of people with the economy. I hope she is aware of her blessings and we envy, now, her pets too.

Paris feels great compassion for the homeless. I have seen her on TMZ giving a homeless person a $100.00 dollar bill. Perhaps she should go to some of these shelters and find a family that could use a home. It would cost far less than her dog house. Then again my motto has always been "Do what makes you happy."

Seriously If Paris wants to do this then she will do it.... its her decision.
and I'm not sticking up for her.

I agree its her money. No ones tells us how to spend ours.

It's just another publicity stunt, and I doubt it includes the "land.". Gating around the house is not safe for small dogs. A small dog could get its head caught in the fancy metalwork.

If you would have taken one second to look closely at the fence before spewing off, you'd see it has glass behind the Wrought Iron to keep the pets safe. I don't agree with PH's lifestyle either, but she really is an animal lover, so on that front, leave her alone!

Yes her dogs have everything they don't need...The only thing they do need is love and affection..Nothing wrong with treating your pets like family .. This is like a mother in laws house out of the way but nice so you don't have to hear from them or feel guilty..
john Aug 6th 2009 3:03PM
That house isnt 15 feetlong so she got talking for 325,000
Dirty Logic Aug 6th 2009 7:50PM
Are you sure about that? I mean sure it looks pretty small, but I've read it's 300 sq ft. Either way, she got taken. That's roughly the area of a master bedroom. Either way, it's still a slap in the face to most Americans that her dog's house costs more than their own houses. Taken or not, it seems a bit insensitive...

YOU HAVE TO BE FRICKIN KIDDING ME!!!!! Does this chick have ANY concept of the real world? I dare her... I double dare her to spend 1 week in my shoes. I live a 'normal' life, kids, bills, a job, responsibilities. I too have a dog, my dog sleep on the floor in MY house, not the dog house. I would like to see this pampered princess handel 'real' life, the working class life for one week, NO cameras, no 'helpers', no drivers, just her on her own... she wouldn't last 48 hours!!!!
CW Aug 6th 2009 4:24PM
LOL...I agree!

to the gal who complained about the fence, there's a reflective glare behind it. Glass. Someone already thought about the dog's head being stuck and that would prevent it.
All in all though, for the cost of that little house I think it could've been done under 10K, maybe even 5K. I mean how the hell is the dog going to know black crystal from black glass and why does it really need air conditioning and heating is she going to make them sleep outside year round?
OCwavez Aug 6th 2009 7:55PM
Not on the balcony railing there isn't!!!! Hahaha! I hope they fall to their death!
nikkiraewhite Aug 7th 2009 4:04PM
Nope not a clue! I mean come on their are people out there losing their houses and she has a house for her dogs that costs more then mine. It is sick!! I will be her pet!
downeastvintage Aug 6th 2009 3:13PM
Hey LUXIST,
I absolutely LOVE your blog! I check in everyday and I am always pleasantly surprised with your posts!
Paris Hilton is doing her share of helping to stimulate our economy. She has kept some people in their jobs just by having her dog house built. Paris is an "American Girl"!!
p.s. she also keeps the tabloid journalist in their jobs ....LOL
Patty Aug 6th 2009 3:21PM
Is the same Paris Hilton that had 2 or 3 of her dogs eaten by Coyotes??? I understand her animals are not closely watched and get out on the street due to not being supervised. She would be better off doing volunteer work at the animal shelters and donating her over abundance of money to animals at the shelters. She is not a real person!!! Just all show!!! Makes me sick!!!!
