I must agree, it's more about people who have NO manners... and, not much to do with cigar Etiquette... Sorry, but I don't think this article is worth passing on to cigar enthusiasts.

I'm a regular at several cigar shops, both in my hometown and the cities I frequent. I find there are common etiquette violations that just were not mentioned.

Subjects such as; mooching, clean-up, pigpen, hording, etc.

Mooching? Some guys are pretty slick at the mooch attempt. They begin with comments like: "Wow, that's a nice looking cigar (or smells great)." Then the move into the next phase of mooching: "I'd really like to try that cigar!" Then they close for a freebie... sometimes with a direct shot like: "Mind if I try one?" Tacky! Very Tacky!

Clean-UP! Most cigar lounges and smoking areas within cigar stores don't have a waitress or a maid. The courteous (gentlemen) pick up after themselves. The guys with no manners leave their trash wherever it falls. But there's another dirty habit you should be aware of. Rubbing your ash on the top rim or cigar rest on the public ashtrays! I cannot believe it when I see guys rubbing their cigar on the very spot other cigar smokers will need to use to set their cigar down. I once went to a cigar tasting where someone had ground their cigar butt on every ashtray in the smoking area! I also fault the shop operator for not keeping it clean! GROSS!

Pigpen? Guys who read the paper and leave it scattered wherever it falls or bring in lunch and leave their food bags and containers in the seat next to them! I believe the shop owner should speak up and ask the pigpen customer to be more considerate of the lounge and the other customers.

Hording! Most lounges have cutters and lighters for their guests. Some of the less considerate cigar guys use the cutter or lighter and don't put it back... it sets right there on their chair or, worse yet, they 'accidentally' put it in their pocket! Again... bad manners! Hording also includes other inconsiderate acts. While at a crowded cigar (tasting) event, all the nice leather chairs were occupied. They set-up nice folding chairs to accommodate the crown on a Saturday afternoon. One inconsiderate puttz had his laptop and man-bag setting on the big leather chair next to him all afternoon! I pointed it out to the clerk on duty, but he didn't have the canoness to speak up! Shame of the inconsiderate puttz... and shame of the employee!

The article mentions supporting (buying from) the host shop. However, you fail to mention an etiquette violation of promoting other sources (including Internet) for cigars and accessories. If you want to share your "find" with your close friends, keep it down! NEVER let the host, employees or other guests hear you telling about a better deal or another source, even if they don't carry the item(s). Again, that's just good sense, being considerate and good manners!
