Stephen Baldwin Headed For Foreclosure
Actor Stephen Baldwin has been on TV braving the Costa Rican jungle and Speidi in "I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!" but he's facing some drama on the homefront too. Baldwin's home in Upper Grandview, New York will be put up for public auction on June 24 at Rockland County Court. Baldwin and his wife, Kennya, defaulted on paying $824,488.36 to mortgage holder Bankers Trust Co.Baldwin bought the home for $515,000 back in 1997 and restored it. He had it on the market in 2006 for $3.4 million but took it off the market when it failed to sell. At the time it was said that Baldwin put his house on the market because of his frustration with a sex shop that had opened in his neighborhood but Page Six said that the real reason the born-again Christian put the home one the market was because he was in need of cash and owed back taxes. The sex shop changed plans after facing public pressure led by Baldwin.
LoHud.com reports that Bankers Trust will receive the first $824,488.36 brought in by the auction, followed by National City and taxing agencies, according to the county foreclosure papers, which were filed in late April. Listing pics from back in 2006 are in the gallery below.

UPDATE: Baldwin's rep told People that the situation will be resolved and no auction will take place.

in my opinion, baldwin's personal stock plummeted when he was on apprentice. he showed his true self and he's an arrogant jackass who tries to cloak himself in religion to soften-up how mean-spirited he really is. i found it especially annoying how he thought he was so intelligent when the reality is that's he's of average intelligence, at best. but i guess this must be a common celebrity archetype, who knows.
so, doesn't he have numerous other houses since he's such a big-time celeb big shot? no, he's just like the rest of us?! steve, say hello to reality, you jackass.

Why would someone this much in debt be doing a television show for charity? Shouldn't he be doing a paid gig? It's nice he wants to help a cause, but HE is a cause right now. He is not one of the smarter Baldwins, he has that to live up to. Can't one of his family members bail him out of this? What's wrong with family helpin out a little?

HE WORKS SO HARD( IN THE HEAT OF SUMMER INFLORIDA) IS A TOP NATCH AUTOBODY MAN. WHEN HE BOUGHT IT HE ONLY HAD 90 DAYS OD BEING CLEAN AND SOBER AND HAD TO LEAVE A TERIBLE PLACE HE WAS LIVING. SINCE THEN HE IS CLOSE TO 5 YRS. CLEAN AND SOVER AND I WONDER HOW ION THE WORLD HE KEEPS SO PROSIVITVIE. I live in Rockland County. The area he lives in is flooded with celebrities and is quite expensive. It is known as Hollywood on the Hudson. Residents include William hurt; Ellen Burstyn; Al Pacino;Bill Murray;John Heard; Rosie O'Donnel, Berishnikof etc.
I see these people all the time just walking around and relaxing. Stephen does have a nice house but in our local paper and people in the area said he was in over his head and needed to sell.

Your son signed a mortgage he can barely pay, (a sensible person makes allowances for the good and bad times. In your own words, a total lack of responsibility)! Apparently he was addicted to drugs or alcohol (although if he's truly clean and sober for five years, that is respectable). I think it's time to open your eyes as well, also sounds as if you're son is gay. That, however, should not make a bit of difference to you, and you should love him all the same. Gay or straight, he is the same person, it's his sexual preference that is different.

Hollywood types are all the same, living beyond their means to impress themselves and everyone else. They must be a close and loving family? - NOT. Why isn't Alec, Daniel or the other Baldwins stepping in to lend a hand? They are probably living above their means as well.

Typical, however, of Hollywood, living above their means to impress themselves and everyone else. So why aren't the other Baldwin Brothers stepping in to assist?
