A billboard featuring sultry model Jessiqa Pace (above) on the racetrack at the Monaco Grand Prix had to be taken down after it proved too distracting to Formula 1 drivers over the weekend. Pace, 29, appears in the campaign for Martini, the Italian winemaker founded in 1863 and famous for its iconic vermouth.
F1 team representatives asked for the posters to be taken down after drivers complained during trial runs; champ Lewis Hamilton crashed in Saturday's qualifying round close to the gigantic image of Jessiqa. "All the attention is overwhelming," she told the London Daily Star. "I find it really funny. Obviously it's very flattering that I'm distracting the drivers so much, but I'd feel terrible if someone got hurt."
I have to totally agree. Professional Race Car Drivers are so highly focused that this is just plain moronic if they think the public will fall for it! You can NOT drive 200 plus mph and NOT be focused on the task at hand. That would be suicidal to the driver!!!
All this was is FREE PUBLICITY for the Italian Winemaker.
Unless 'I' is a poster or a billboard, then 'I' isn't distracting anything; it's more likely that hard-wired pattern recognition of physical mating attributes is doing all the work (yes, that's why cleavage looks like ass crack, and full pouty lips look like ahem - ain't evolution grand!) and 'I' could be just about anyone. Distractions like that, given they're primordial and tap into deep-seated reflexive responses, could indeed prove costly, on or off the track.
I watched practice, qualifying & the race. The billboard (on the Lowes hairpin) was there for all 3. They may have complained but it was never taken down.
No doubt she's gorgeous but not uncommon. Women like her are displayed routinely on billboards in Italy. Must be the "foriegners" who find the distraction. Some have come to find it "ordinary".
They drove on the medium? I guess that brought a quick and ugly end to the seance, then. It's a good thing that you are pretty, Candy, because that career in Rocket Science isn't going to work out so well I'm afraid. Sorry Babe.
Candy, honey, the word is Median not medium. I guess it's really hard to remember these things being so beautiful and all, huh? I'll bet you're a blonde, too?

This is just too stupid for words.

And all a publicity stunt. No F1 driver was being distracted by a billboard. Total nonsense.

Danica does not drive Formula 1 - she was at the Indy 500 that weekend.....completely different racing series.

How old are they 12?

Lol I can't blame them, she is gorgeous. I could barely read the article without getting distracted, let alone drive in a race.

If you are pretty and have a nice body guys will look.
I know because I have distracted drivers that drove on the medium and hit a tree backing up.
So yes the picture could be distracting :)
