Cityfile reports that Albert Hammond Jr. the lead guitarist of The Strokes has put his apartment in New York City's East Village back on the market for a reduced price. Hammond first listed the two-bedroom pad at 141 East 3rd Street for $1.199 million last August. It went to contract but the buyer dropped out. It went back on the market for $999,000 then went back off the market. Now it's back with an even lower price. The two-bedroom apartment is in the Ageloff towers building and has high ceilings, a renovated kitchen and bath and large closets. The style is hipster casual and there are plenty of bookshelves in the main living space.
It is now listed at $899,000.

A million bucks doesn't go far in NYC, does it? That looks like a mildly upscale college student apartment in most states.
