Acqua Linea, Estate of the Day

Acqua Liana is the latest home from Florida developer Frank McKinney. The home in Manalapan Beach, Florida takes its name from the Tahitian and Fijian word for "Water Flower," and the home incorporates water in a variety of ways. Acqua Liana is set upon 1.6 acres with 150 feet fronting direct Atlantic Ocean-to-Intracoastal Waterway property. You can stroll along the beach on one side and keep your yacht on the dock on the Intracoastal Waterway immediately across from the home.
The home's water features are numerous. It has a glass "water floor"with handpainted tiles in a Lotus garden motif illuminated below the shimmering surface. An aquarium wet bar offers the chance to walk below with exotic fish swimming above. There are 24-foot oceanfront sheeting water walls and a nine-foot hand blown glass chandelier designed to look as if it melts into the reflecting pond below. The kitchen has a 10-foot water wall and the garage features windows that peer into the pool above. The rest of the decor is resort like. The home has a double helix glass staircase, exotic tropical hardwood floors and rooms on a grand scale including a huge 2,180 sq.ft. oceanfront master bedroom suite with his/hers oceanview baths. Other features include a fitness studio, an oceanfront glass office, two glass elevators, a glass wine cellar, movie theater, an oceanfront summer kitchen, swimmable water gardens and a waterfall spa with a fire feature.
The three story home is also certified green and has solar panels, energy efficient appliances and an automated bio-feedback system will display its energy efficiency in real time. This home is listed at $29 million.

It's great to see something different from the usual fake-Mediterranian mansions that seem to overpopulate south Florida.
