Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's Real Estate Steal

I mentioned this one in the Sunday Real Estate Round-Up but Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner deserve special mention for getting a really great deal on a prime piece of real estate. They picked up spiky-haired superproducer Brian Grazer's Los Angeles area home for around $17.55 million which is nearly $10 million less than the price that Grazer and his ex-wife Gigi Levangie Grazer, author of chick lit books such as "The Starter Wife," wanted for the home in 2007.

The Grazers bought the property way back in 1992 and spent substantial funds expanding the home and adding a two-bedroom guest house with a screening room. Famed decorator Michael S. Smith, who is the decorator of choice to redo the private quarters in the Obama White House, was the mastermind behind redoing the Cliff-May designed home. As the Grazers tried to decide on whether or not to stay together the house popped on and off the market several times. The listing touted the home as having the "best projection room in L.A." and there are four bedrooms in the main home. The estate sits on an enviable three-acre piece of land high in the Pacific Palisades area delivering much-needed privacy and views of both the city and the ocean. Garner and Affleck had been househunting for a while causing a stir as they visited homes in Holmby Hills and other elite areas of Los Angeles. The Real Estalker reports that the home that Jennifer Garner owned in Brentwood has also been sold for a price in the neighborhood of $6.8 million.

I remembe those days when Ben was with the other hot J (Ms.famous J Lo) and they wanted to find good housing in florida but did not have great luck.But am happy for Ben with Ms.J G that he found a house he wanted.I wish I could tell them to go here to search homes for sell and they could have found it quicker (lol)

I can't imagine how much Ben & Jennifer paid in real estate commission ..atleast couple hundred thousands ?
