Trump Speaks Out On Proposed Millionaires Tax

First Rush Limbaugh vowed to sell his home in New York City because of the new millionaire tax, now Donald Trump has come out against the tax hikes. Trump was recently on the Neil Cavuto show where he said that he believes the tax will be a "total disaster for the state."
Trump went on to tout the benefits of Florida and its governor, Charlie Crist. While Trump isn't threatening to leave New York he says that it doesn't make sense for people to have to pay millions in taxes especially if they make the money elsewhere. Trump claims to have spoken to "literally 25 to 30 people" that are considering leaving New York.

What would it take to get them to leave the country?

Nelson: funniest thing I've read all week, lol, thanks.
When the U.K. brought in soak-the-rich taxes a bunch of richies left, but they all came back. Let's see a federal millionaire's tax, and anyone who leaves the country can be excoriated as unpatriotic.

Conflating taxation with patriotism. How about we stop spending other people's money and money we don't have, at all levels.

classy rich men, like warren buffet and bill gates, never cry about taxes. they are the ones who believe in inheritance taxes and paying a greater share because they have been very fortunate. cry babies like hump and lamef--k (and a lot of republicans) are only interested in what the world can do for them and how they can profit at the expense of others.

As much as I dis-like trump, he's got a strong point. There are a number of proposed progressive tax increases that are terrible ideas, this being one of them. Trumps point is valid, tax millionaires extra for spending their money in NY and they will stop. People seem to think that becuase they are millionaires they won't care or that they will actually stay and just pay. What a joke, they are millionaires becuase they are smart with their money... What this is going to do in NY is devastate the restaurant hotel retail industries to name a few and push our economy further south.
Unfortunatly since Obamas spending spree he's looking for people to pay for it and it's done nothing but fail so far. Remember him promising to create jobs... We've lost close to 200,000 since he's come to office.
Anyway to avoid becoming further sidetracked lets look at another of obamas proposed ways of taxing the rich- he wants to take away the tax breaks for giving to charity. LOL? I wish

Don Trump makes me laugh. He stating he is a millionaire. If this is so, why does he file for bankruptcy every 7 years. He talking about the state taking money from him. Lets look at it this way--He imposes a heavy "tax" on his creditors by welching out on his debts. I am ashamed to admit he was born the same day as me. Geminis like myself tend to be a little crazy. Don Trump is in the personcution mode. Everybody is against him. Maybe for good reason. He's "fired" as far as I am concerned

I agree with Trump too. I think it's wrong to heavily tax the wealthy just because they take care of business when it comes to their finances. You tax the rich they will leave your state and when enough of them leave they'll come after those on the middle of the totem pole and the bottom. Oh and for those that are in favor you know you wouldn't be with this proposal if you was apart of this group. You shouldn't hate on people just because your jealous of what they have.
