Dunhill Brings Back Elvis' Lighter
London luxury goods firm Dunhill is offering a new limited edition gold lighter based on a model from their archives that was owned by Elvis Presley in the 1950s.The slim, elegant 18-karat yellow gold Apex lighter features a classic crosshatch pattern in Dunhill's famed Rollalite style. Only 50 pieces are being produced at $13,000 each.
Dunhill, which dates back to the 1890s, produced its first lighter, dubbed the Unique, in 1923. Noel Coward, Coco Chanel and Frank Sinatra, who also had his tuxedos made the firm, all owned Dunhill lighters as well.
The precious but understated lighter indicates that before he got sloppy Elvis was a man of taste. Some of his later, more vulgar accouterments are currently being auctioned off in NYC.

Elvis was never sloppy. He was an impeccable dresser. Your comment about his "later more vulgar accouterments"...it's called SHOW BUSINESS. His flamboyant style was part of Elvis the Entertainer. Please show at least a portion of the class Elvis had by not talking about him in such a negative manner.

Shame on you for your rude remarks about ELVIS. He was never sloppy and always gave the fans what they wanted. There has never been another entertainer nor will there ever be, not in my life time...that has the love and respect of so many, many fans. You owe each and every one of his fans an apology.....and please, in the future try to refrain from insulting someone that is no longer able to defend themselves.

At least while they are making rude remarks about Elvis, Luxist writers continue their fantastic proof-reading record with the statement of "Frank Sinatra, who also had his tuxedos made the firm".

Even after 30+ years anything/everything Elvis Presley did, wore, sang, etc. is...CLASSICALLY COOL.
However, it is sad (and forever will be) that Elvis has (in fact) been gone from us...for over 30 years now.
Even though I am not getting "younger" thankfully I can still recall seeing Elvis in person as well as having my own (prominent) Elvis Presley Collection to "relive the memories".
Thank you to all the Elvis Presley Fans Worldwide for keeping Elvis' life, legacy, and legend "status" alive and well.
Each of you are invited to visit www.ElvisCollector.info today...and often.
Take care and God bless.

We posess one of the original Dunhills of this same model. We wish to sell it. It is very cool and you can own it for less than $13,000. :) Send me your offers, for all I know it could have belonged to Elvis, Sinatra or anyone else with impecible taste and a fat wallet.
