In fact the source article has it wrong. It's not in the center of Paris, it's not even Paris, it's La Defense, which is in the suburbs of Paris. Paris has a law, after they built the Montparnasse Tower, that never would there be a building built, bigger than 8 stories high in Paris.
That's why all the tall office buildings are in La Defense.

Oh I hope not. Yes, I know it creates jobs, etc but the building is ugly from these views.
