Maîtres du Temps Black Chapter One Watch

maitres du temps black chapter one watch
The big news for Maitres du Temps at Baselworld this year will be their new Chapter Two watch, but the beautiful Chapter One watch should not be overlooked. To help emphasize that point, Maitres du Temps is releasing a limited edition of (what I call) 'Tuxedo look' black and white Chapter One watches. Whereas the standard (really not so standard a watch) Chapter One watch comes in blues and gold, the Black version is a monochromatic delight. Lots of 18k white gold contrasts well with the black tones all over the case and dial, along with the black alligator strap.

Maitres du Temps is an interesting watch brand. The aggregated efforts of master watch makers combine to create some amazing creations. The roster of this all-star team includes such names as Roger Dubuis, Christophe Claret, and Peter Speake-Marin. A fourth name is allegedly to be added for the Chapter Two watches' dream team.

The Chapter One watch is not only amazing for how it looks and the amount of complications it has, but also for how easy those complications are to see and operate. In addition to the complex manually-wound tourbillon movement, the watch includes a chronograph, retrograde GMT display, day of the week, moon phase, retrograde date, and the time of course. The clever roller system on the top and bottom of the case are genius for being effective, simple, and elegant. The Maitres du Temps Black Chapter One will be available in very limited numbers with an official release at Baselworld soon.
