Manny Ramirez At The Ritz, Estate of the Day
Say what you like about eccentric baseball player Manny Ramirez, the man knows how to make a deal. Ramirez, who just signed a two-year, $45 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers, is determined to get a good price for his apartment in his former city of Boston. He put his Ritz-Carlton penthouse officially back on the market this week. We first heard about this condo back in 2005 when Ramirez put it up for sale for $6.9 million. He had bought the 37th floor unit back in 2001 for $5.8 million. When the condo didn't sell in 2005 he decided to stay but now it seems he is ready to fully cut his ties with Boston. Ramirez's condo has four bedrooms and a wraparound terrace with stunning views of the city skyline and the Charles River. It's tastefully decorated by decorator Dennis Duffy with just a sprinkling of well-placed Red Sox memorabilia for authenticity. The penthouse comes with three valet parking spaces. It is now listed at $8.5 million. Will Manny get his price? If his real estate agent is as tenacious as his sports agent he just might.

Yeah, his realtor is claiming that the 2005 attempt was not 'official'.
Great views, hope it sells soon so we can get him out of the news here.

Why on earth are the condo fees $6200+ per month for this unit. That's super high, especially for Boston. Combined with the taxes, you are paying $120,000/year for the privilege of "owning" a unit. No thanks.

We in Boston will be thrilled to see that immature baby Manny gone. It is amazing that he is getting the money he is getting, being just an overweight has been baseball player. He is not missed here and while you going Manny would you please take that arrogant Shylling and his bimbo wife with you, we are over those two too. You and Shylling are just a couple fatties.

Boston is better off being rid of this idiot. So, he can hit a baseball. His claim to be 'getting his glove ready for the Gold Glove award is SO funny. It's too bad. I like the Dodger's, but they're in for a season of stress if he even BEGIN'S to not get his way...

From the area - we're glad your gone MR you showed NO appreciation for what Boston is all about. Your pad is def NOT worth what your asking. Stick your tail between your legs and get out of Dodge. You're all about the money - you should've gone to our rival NY. We all know they aren't real players and their motives are only about money - just like yours.
