I even asked him for references, locally, to lay some carpet and build me a deck.
My idea of having more money than sense... is having 4 and 5 cars, when you can only drive one.
I can't say that if I had the money, and a house big enough, I wouldn't opt for a designer kitchen, but I would rather sink money into some that appreciates (i.e. home, properties) instead of some that depreciates as soon as it rolls off of the showroom floor.
Unless, of course, it is a classic car.
