Bid On Lunch With T. Boone Pickens

Lunch with Warren Buffett always sells well ($2.1 million last year, a new record) but how about a meal with another billionaire? Texas entrepreneur and philanthropist T. Boone Pickens has put himself up on eBay for a lunch date to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas (BBBSNT). The winner and seven guests will join Pickens for lunch at ick & Sam's in Dallas on a date to be decided later. The auction opened Monday and ends on Thursday, February 12. The bidding started at $100,000 and so far one person has come up with the money to pick Pickens' brain over a good steak. Pickens has been in the news recently promoting his Pickens plan for the future of energy consumption in the United States.

Well, I probably won't be bidding, but would love the opportunity to have lunch with Boone. My company has recently been purchasing CNG trucks, and it has been of great interest to me. However, for the price of the lunch we could buy A LOT of trucks. So, most likely I would spend the money on new trucks.
