Starbucks Puts The Corporate Jet Up For Sale

Well that was fast, Starbucks had their new corporate jet for less than a month before succumbing to economic pressures and putting it up for sale. Aero-News Network reports that the company had less than 20 flights on the new Gulfstream G550 before putting it up for sale with Avpro. The news comes as Starbucks reported lower earnings and plans to close more stores.
The $45 million Gulfstream 550 was ordered four years ago during boom times for the coffee company. Unlike Citigroup and other companies on the hot seat for private jet usage, Starbucks hasn't asked for federal funds. The company has also been trying to sell off its Gulfstream G-V. Now Starbucks just has to find a willing buyer.

Tsk, tsk. Hard to believe. I think it's a PR stunt: in Vancouver Starbunkles seems to be thriving to such an extent that on literally, DOZENS, of intersections, TWO Starbucks can be found kitty corner to one another.

I'll happily babysit the plane as the company tries to sell it.You have to put the plane physically where the "deep pockets" play: MIAMI...VEGAS...GOLD COAST...BALI...HONG KONG...SINGAPORE...SEYCHELLES...DUBAI.Mr.Schultz...I offer my services as a traveling bon vivant/planesitter to effect a quick sale.I will of course need a travel stipend...and 3% commish on sale.I think it best that I be seen getting off the plane with supermodels.Nothing like a good staging to move that puppy. ;^D

I have no problem with Starbucks or the big three having private jets, they are paying for them so what is the big deal? I do have a problem with our leaders having them, they do not pay for them, we do. I think all public officials should be forced to fly on the nation's airlines and fly in coach only! Who in the hell do they think they are? They are supposed to be working for us!

All they have to do is add my Chef Alfred hot cocoa
to the Starbucks menu & they could pay for the jet in two weeks.....alfredschrader@aol.com
