Arizona Cardinals running back Edgerrin James is celebrating his trip to the Super Bowl in grand style. He picked up a new Lamborghini while in Florida this week. His rationale is that he always told himself if he got to the Super Bowl he would do something special and get something that not everyone else has. James played with the Colts for years and received a 2006 Colts Super Bowl ring as a thank you for his work for the team even though he didn't play in the game. Now that he is finally in the game,
a white Lamborghini parked in front of the team's hotel in Tampa is his way of announcing his presence. The funny thing is that James doesn't much like to drive. He says he prefers to be in the passenger seat text messaging.

If he needs a driver, I have military training... and work for any extra ladies he has hanging around.

Congratulations man, nothing like working hard, having focus and being able to reward yourself with what you want. Just dont make splurging too much of an habit least you become a case study.
Good luck in the bowl.

Beu makes a good point, I too hope he doesn't become a case study. Funny, the moment I saw this article I thought, "A fool and his money..." but that's not a nice way to think. It's just so many sports stars end up with nothing several years down the road and then they end up in Deidre's celebrity foreclosure list. Let's hope this isn't the case here. And God bless Kurt Warner.

Edge has been in the league for about 8 years now as a top level RB. If he's just now buying a $300,000 car then chances are he's sitting on $20 million.

These guys do get paid and I am sure they get a nice bonus win or lose for making it to the superbowl. Read this story on another site as well. Love these great stories.
