Hedonist Artisanal Chocolates - Valentine Spice Truffle Collection

You may have been able to get away with the heart-shaped box of chocolates as a teenager but beyond that most expectant recipients on Valentine's Day would probably prefer a more sophisticated twist on the old stand-by. Enter Hedonist Artisanal Chocolates and their Valentine Spice Truffle Collection. Unique combinations of creamy chocolate truffles and unexpected spiced ingredients creates an unforgettable, mouth-watering experience. Step outside the chocolate box and enjoy Coconut Curry, Lemon Pepper, Orange Chipotle, Peanut Butter Cayenne and Raspberry Wasabi. Prices range depending on the size of box you choose ($12 to $54) but your enjoyment is bound to be an eleven on a scale from one to ten! Now...if I only knew of a wine that would complement each of these heated combinations...champagne perhaps?

Hi,
Chocolate sometimes gets a bad rap. This a great article especially for those with different tastes. You should also mention that chocolate is also good for losing weight. Check out our article at www.scandinaviandiets.com. We reccomend that our dieters include dark chocolate in our weight loss program.
Also what a great gift idea for those who want to give something beautiful and not break the bank.
I would love to try the chipotle flavors.
Thanx for the great article.

Thanks for the great review! We work hard to make our chocolates special. My favorite in the Valentine Spice collection is the Lemon Pepper. We change collections every season, right now we're featuring "Spring Teas" truffles (Masala Chai, Earl Grey, Jasmine, Lapsang Souchong and Green Tea): http://hedonistchocolates.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=27_44
Because of our vicinity to the Finger Lakes, we do a lot of wine and chocolate pairings. Most of our truffles pair best with a medium red wine or some of the sweeter dessert wines (it's actually quite pretty difficult to get champagne and chocolate to play nice together). Pairing is very much about experimenting, so there are no hard and fast rules. One of the most unique pairings we do is our Milk Chocolate Sesame Bark with the 2006 Chardonnay from Ravines Wine Cellars.
Best,
ZAHRA
