Travel + Leisure's Top Golf Communities for 2009

Get your clubs re-gripped and spikes shined because Travel + Leisure Golf just released America's Top 25 Golf Communities for 2009. Ten of the twenty-five are new to the list this year which is a surprisingly large number. Each property was graded on the following six categories in order of importance: golf amenity; residential architecture and style; location, including natural setting and proximity to cultural activities; management, service and programming options; non-golf amenities, such as a full service spa, equestrian center or marina; and environmental stewardship. Searching for the best combination of qualities the editors selected the following as their top five:
- Pronghorn in Bend, Oregon
- Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina
- Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California
- Mayacama in Santa Rosa, California
- The Cliffs Communities in Travelers Rest, South Carolina

Wow,
What great new addtions for the golf course crowd. It's never been my game, but with this kind of planning I can be there with my friends and experience just as much fun.
Thanx,
Diana

We've had many give us positive feedback about the Cliffs Communities ranging from how great the real estate group is to the wide-range of amenities and scenic vistas.
One thing that the Cliffs has consistently done which often is overlooked by inexperienced or national developers is the simple fact that besides the fancy golf courses and 5 star amenities, people are are looking for a good place for their family - friendly and inviting.
Tks,
The Golf Community Guy
