Biden Residence To Feature Wyeth Paintings

I was reading this article on Andrew Wyeth paintings to be showcased in the Biden Vice Presidential residence when I learned that Andrew Wyeth died at the age of 91. Wyeth's quietly emotive paintings of country life depict a particularly American viewpoint.
According to Delaware Online, Wyeth's watercolor "Cal Wallace in Friendship Sloop," will hang in Number One Observatory Circle in Washington, the official vice president's residence. Art collector Charles Cawley is loaning the work and may loan others from his extensive collection. The Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania which also has collections of both Andrew Wyeth and NC Wyeth works has agreed to loan two paintings for a year starting with "Spring -- 1918," an oil on canvas painted by Andrew Wyeth's father, N.C. Wyeth. Andrew's son, Jamie Wyeth, is also loaning a piece which would mean that the three generations of Wyeth painters will grace the vice president's home. $10
The Andrew Wyeth painting shown above "Ericksons" fetched $10.344 million at Christie's in 2007.
