Aged wine, aged whisky, how about aged shoes? The latest idea from
Italian shoemaker Silvano Lattanzi involves a rather unique technique for aging leather. Lattanzi buried some of his handmade shoes in an aging pit for four years. He calls them "Scarpe di Fossa, or "entombed shoes." Lattanzi says" "As wine and cheese age to reach perfection, these shoes become more precious through this natural, unpredictable aging process. They attain a one-of-a-kind vintage effect." The price for entombed shoes starts at $12,000.

LOL! Oh, man! This guy is out of his mind! LOL! Most of his shoes look tacky as fuck anyway! LOL!
Yeah, OK! I'm going to start burying all my shoes in the dirt for four years before I actually wear them now, too! LOL! Maybe if I bury them for eight years I can get $100K for them! LOL!
