Kenneth Cole In NYC, Estate of the Day

Cityfile reports that designer Kenneth Cole is trying hard to find a buyer for his 33rd floor penthouse in New York City. Cole has had the apartment, since 1985 but he bought a new place in March for $14.5 million. Cole's Penthouse includes 1,000 square feet of outdoor space, a large living room with three exposures, wood-burning fireplace, limestone and marble bathrooms and a kitchen with high-end appliances. He was originally asking $18.95 million for the four-bedroom apartment but is now asking $16.95 million. There is also a chance to pick up another one-bedroom unit in the building as a maid's apartment.

the views are amazing! I like the kitchen as well as the minimalistic decor.

"Minimalistic decor"? Substitute cold and uninviting. This flat needs some COLOR and warming up, fast! And then you'd see it sell. The views are fantastic but right now, the only selling point.

Location, Location, Location, typical city living. The rooftop patio is 7 million right there! and the view is another 7 mil. and the other 3 mil is about right for the space! Gotta love the rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That kitchen is a pure nightmare!! It's so narrow you can stand at the sink and open the oven door across from the sink. You could fit about 5 people in that kitchen but only if you don't open the refrigerator or the oven door when those people are in the room. If I looked at that place, I'd immediately cross it off my list based just on the kitchen, or lack thereof....

I don't care for big cities or big houses so don't know if my comment matters but the kitchen is thin and the rest of the house looks cold. There is nice furniture to decorate it but it needs jazzed up, maybe get some stagers in there. You might have to drop the price again. Good luck!

Can you feel lonely in such a big city?
