It makes sense that black diamonds would be common as diamonds are composed of nearly pure carbon. Also, the colour of any diamond can be changed simply be applying high pressure to it in a high temperature environment.<br><br>Diamonds themselves aren't rare at all: annual production is around 270,000lbs (approx 60,000lbs from mining and another 210,000lbs from synthesis).<br><br><br>Anyway, that is a nice looking watch, which I sure will wear very well in daily use since it's literally diamond plated.
