$10 Million for the Shoes Thrown at Bush

In case you haven't already seen it, here is the clip of a journalist in Iraq pelting George Bush with his shoes at a press conference (courtesy of YouTube user LenonHonorFilms).

Well, now there's more news. A Saudi man has offered $10 million for the shoes of Iraqi journalist/shoe thrower Muntadar Al Zaidi. The offer comes from sixty-year-old Hassan Mohammad Makhafa of Aseer (south west of Saudi Arabia). He's prepared to sell all his properties - which would be going to his sons - to purchase the shoes, which he describes as a "medal of freedom."

He apparently has plans to enshrine the shoes.

I think that we should all send a LEFT shoe to the White House in support of this "journalist". BUSH is obviously still out of touch, so maybe a million shoes will help give him the 'BOOT'.

this is actually a brilliant idea... a passive agressive protest of the most diabolical evil the world has seen since Hitler. For him to be buried in shoes would be to good a fate for him... kudos on your idea... maybe you should start a website with an adress to send our shoes... of course then you might disappear for inciting a peaceful revolution against the monster...

This is to Ken. Ken how can you possibly compare Bush to Hitler. Yes bush hasnt been the "best" president, and ill say hes had some controversial decisions, but NO part of him is anything like the monster that which is Hitler. Bush sent soldiers to Iraq with good intentions, not just "to get them killed" on purpose! If you think that he isnt a very good president, the fine with me, more power to ya. But, when you compare him to Hitler, who commited genocide by trying to ELIMINATE the Jewish from existance; I will draw the line. (F.Y.I- I myself am not Jewish)
