Mark Wahlberg in Beverly Hills, Estate of the Day

We first heard about this home back in October but since Mark Wahlberg's home may soon be off the market according to recent reports of an offer in the LA Times Hot Property column, I thought it might be fun to take a closer look. The home in Beverly Hills is on 1.4 acres. The property includes a 15,000-square-foot house, two-story guest house and a 2,500-square-foot gym with a boxing ring and a full basketball court. The property also has a Playboy-mansion-worthy pool with a grotto and waterfall and a putting green. The house has five bedrooms and 10 1/2 bathrooms. Wahlberg picked up the house in late 2001 for $4.95 million.
The home includes a media room, room with a pool table and a wet bar and a master wing with a huge bedroom with a living room's worth of furniture in it and a bathroom that includes a hairstyling station with a shampoo bowl and salon chair. He may not get his $15.9 million listing price but if there is already an offer around $14 million it seems this one will go fast, hopefully to someone with as much of an interest in fitness as Wahlberg has.

other than the gym and sports court, marky mark needs to get some help with decorating in something that looks better than the middle class white boy thing he's got going here... like i said though - nice gym... what's up with all the waterfalls??? - REALLY cheesy... sorry, dude - love entourage though...

How many Interior Designers have worked in this house? They have spoken to each other? It'is a mix of wonderful solutions and most economic proposals of Home Depot o r Ikea (without detracting Home Depot or Ikea which also have good solutions). If you live in Italy with 3 kW of electricity available, You can use only one room at a time. We "greening" also the homes of the rich, giving to those who like the taste of Made in Italy. Here is possible to do better and sustainable.

Yup, it definitely could use a professional interior designer's touch. Great bones, but needs help creating the luxury home look, yet still comfortable enough to live in.

Man, he's got some bad art too. And Jack makes an interesting point about electrical use--imagine how much power is necessary to operate that home daily. It starts to seem vulgar.

I am up for the job! He is a hotty but I always heard he was homophobic which could explain the lack of a "flair" etc.. But I will say he is a much better actor than I once thought him to be and from whence he came this place is a Palace!!
