The elaborate Vivienne Westwood wedding dress Sarah Jessica Parker sported in the "Sex and the City" movie didn't bring Carrie Bradshaw any luck but that hasn't stopped women from wanting it. Now, for two days only Gabriella Risatti, owner of
Gabriella New York bridal salon in the Meatpacking District of New York City is making reproductions of the dress for $15,000 tomorrow and Thursday only. Risatti
tells the NY Post that they will be taking measurements for those two days but only making 30 dresses.

This looks just like a dress that was on Gilt Groupe. It was not anywhere near $15,000. Sarah Jessica Parker probably got it from Gilt Groupe!! haha
Gilt Groupe provides access, by invitation only, to Men’s, Women’s and Children’s coveted fashion and luxury brands at prices up to 70% off retail. Each sale lasts 36 hours and features hand selected styles from a single designer.
Often referred to as "the online Mecca" for deeply discounted luxury and fashion brands, Gilt Groupe offers women and men an exciting new means of buying the brands they love at the most desirable prices.

I don't want the dress, but I'd certainly take the royal blue Manolos that Carrie really DOES get married in!!!

""Woud You Wear The Sex And The City Wedding Dress?
NO! I 'WOUD' NOT WEAR THAT!
THE AUTHOR OF THE ARTICLE EVIDENTLY DIDN'T RUN SPELL CHECK!
I HOPE THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE GULLIBLE ENOUGH TO FALL FOR SUCH AN OUTRAGEOUS MARKETING SCHEME!
THAT IS WHAT IT IS! A SCHEME! TO PART CONSUMERS FROM THEIR MONEY!
NO ONE NEEDS A $15,000.00 WEDDING DRESS!
HOW GAUCHE!
HOW SAD!
TO THINK SOMEONE NEEDS AN UGLY DRESS LIKE THAT AND AT 15,000.00 TO MAKE THEM FEEL GOOD OR ACCEPTABLE!
WE ARE A SAD, SAD SOCIETY!

First off eww!! Second off eww again. I think the dress is tacky and wearing a knock off of a cable show wedding dressy is uber tacky. The only thing I find more tacky is brides that are over 25 doing Mickey Mouse wedding invites.
I recently lost weight and have been more adventurous in my dressing. I like to dress a little different with style..not like the tacky hat with a bird Carrie wore in the movie. I would love to have her shoe wardrobe though!
I strive to eat healthy and lead by example for my daughters and to feel better about myself. I eat flax every morning for health and weight loss reasons. I have the same breakfast now every day. I recently lost 30 pounds following the
weight watchers program http://www.weightwatchers.com and I now just
am more watchful every day of what I eat. I have a banana low fat yogurt with golden roasted flax for breakfast every day. It is filling, keeps me regular and tastes fabulous (kinda like sesame seeds). My Weight Watchers leader recommended fitflax to me and it definitely helped the last 10 pounds to melt off. It is low carb and low cal. It is a flax and chia blend and I think I read about it in O mag. They also listed a code to get 10% off. The site is http://www.fitflax.com and the code for 10% off is
ff10

I bought my wedding dress at Bloomingdales and as it was not a traditonal wedding dress, I did not pay traditional wedding gown prices. The dress was designer, elegant material and about $400. I love Bloomingdales..especially when they have sales.
I do most of my shopping online to save money on gas, use less gas and not pay tax most of the time and use coupons. I shop at all my favorite stores through an online website that gives me the unpublished codes at about 300 stores (including Bloomingdale's, Wal Mart, Target, The Gap, Best Buy, Old Navy, Drugstore.com, etc) as well as giving me between 5 and 50% back in cash on my purchases. The site is http://www.fatcrumbs.com I am being
good to the environment and great to my wallet. I also love the web

Thats not even a picture of the dress. Did anyone reading this post actually watch the movie???? Im not sure why they would put a picture of a completely unrelated dress on the site, but they did. The real dress is well worth 15k easy.

This is a HORRIBLE rendition of the actual dress. Ugh. If I were Westwood, I would sue just for this woman even making claim to my name like that and then creating a dress that is nowhere near Vivienne Westwood worthy! And "Diane", I agree...I would kill to have those blue Manolo's.

Gabriella's Bridal is working WITH Vivienne Westwood - not making their own claim to the Carrie dress. This dress is Westwood's design
