Milton Point, Estate of the Day

For many New Yorkers, realizing you've grown up happens when you take stock and note that you finally have enough money for a home outside the city (read: more than two rooms), you need or want more space, and you cannot stand apartment living one second longer. Enter Westchester, the suburb that offers space and upscale living but is close to the heart of NYC via a train ride on Metro-North.
Here's one option: This 1904 Milton Point Colonial, situated on 2.55 acres in Rye City, N.Y., offers 6,963 square feet, 14 rooms (seven BR, 5.5 BA), a shoreline pool and spa, two-car garage, alarm system, deck, eat-in kitchen, fireplace, high ceilings, skylights, walkout basement, and wet bar. Taxes are $112,675. Asking price: $7,595,000.

I have several friends that live in Westchester County and it completely amazes me how the interiors of every home looks the SAME! Talk about your Stepford decorators......
I'll bet this house was decorated in the late 80's or early 90's and not one thing has been changed. Pull and Ethan Allen catalog for this time and the pages will mirror this home.

I agree with DJ. Beautiful house without soul. Is the same problem with our customer, when they come in our "studio" with a catalog. For me is very important "listen" and "uderstand" what really need the customer (its our philosofy), and after we try together to furnish the house and the garden, to choice the colors, to install the lights in the correct position, etc., all virtually using professional 3D CAD products, so when the customer is satisfied, he give the definitive design to his Professionals and Designers. So the house is "bespoken" with less costs.
