The $4 million for the national 30 minute ad was a great idea. Even McCain could have afforded that, it was timed for the early voting in key states (for example FL, OH, CO, OR and NC) but reached every state in the union and won news cycles. As Taniel said in previous posts McCain needed to move the dial on national opinion.<br>McCain contested states he never needed like WI and MN.
